Another entry in the recent After Dark Horrorfest is based on well-known horror writer/director Clive Barker's works.
In Clive Barker's Dread, a group of students went overboard when studying the source of people's fears. Although the storyline is original, the pacing is a bit slow to develop and we do not actually care for what happens to any of the characters.
At least the previous movie based on Clive Barker's work - The Midnight Meat Train (2008) was better in terms of horror and suspense.
Rating: 4/10
Perkins 14, on the other hand, is even worse than Clive Barker's Dread. It tries to be different from the other movies based on the undead but in the end fails to deliver due to lack of creativity in the action/gore scenes and a stupid ending.
Rating: 3/10. Cool poster. Lousy movie.
