Edge of Darkness is the much anticipated crime thriller from the director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Mask of Zorro) and the return of Hollywood actor/director Mel Gibson in a starring role since Signs (2002). Based on the 1985 TV mini-series which was also directed by Martin Campbell himself, it is a tale about one mans revenge against the corporation that killed his daughter but in the end uncovers a much bigger conspiracy.
Based on the trailer alone, it looks like it will be Mel Gibson's version of Taken. However, it has less action and long dialogue making it a much slower paced and longer movie than Taken.Recommend for viewers interested in crime/revenge movie with depth but viewers looking for an all-out action summer blockbuster movie will have to look elsewhere. Rating 7/10.--
