Inception Review

Year: 2010
Genre: Thriller / Sci-Fi
Director/Writer: Christopher Nolan (Insomnia, The Prestige, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight)
Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy,Dileep Rao, Michael Caine
Synopsis: A group of specialists who are given a mission to penetrate into peoples minds to extract secrets hidden within.

This movie is inspired by sci-fi classics such as The Matrix and Existenz (both in 1999) and if the sci-fi elements are removed, what you have could probably the next installment of Mission Impossible.

There are several shots of amazing effects and some of the fight scenes are reminiscent of The Matrix, this movie is not an action movie but a sci-fi thriller about how the team accomplishes its mission.

Unfortunately even with all the technical jargon and theories explained by the cast, audiences will still find it to be a confusing and complicated movie. Multiple viewings is absolutely necessary if you really want to understand their intentions.

Nevertheless audiences will happily go with the flow and enjoy the several action sequences throughout the movie which will make this 2.5 hour long movie fly pass.

Rating: 8/10
